When the CCBA launched its Partners in Progress program in 2006, it entered into discussions with several administrators to offer CCBA members a Professional Liability Insurance program as well as a qualified Employee Benefits and Wealth Management consultant. Our purpose was to ensure: 1) that the program provided a quality, cost-competitive, accessible product, 2) that members were being well-served, (even those with high risk areas of practice who have had difficulty getting coverage) 3) members had access to a qualified agency for their employee and business needs, and 4) that the Bar association itself was well-served as an institutional "client."

After much due diligence and discussion, the CCBA entered into a partnership with USI Bertholon-Rowland, the USI Hackensack, NJ office in Bergen County and Zurich North America. USI is the nation's largest bar administrator of bar association lawyers' professional liability (LPL) programs and so brings both superior expertise and market strength to the table. Its long-time association clients include the New York State Bar, the Pennsylvania Bar, the Philadelphia Bar and the Maryland Bar Associations, to name just a few. They have a dedicated, experienced team and are pleased to expand their relationships with our members and your firms. The New Jersey office has also been supporting the insurance needs of local attorneys through its partnerships with the Bergen, Essex and Middlesex County Bar Associations.
